I'm with aaaccc10, I almost bought a BRZ. There was a new loaded model that a local dealer had been sitting on for a while, but the night before I was going to go up and make the deal, but the power curve, and NVH/general feel of the car just weren't quite right. A nice Ashen Gray 2SS popped up on a local dealer used lot that same night, and the rest is history.
That being said, one of my friends looked at a new WRX, and after riding in it, if the BRZ had even that motor, and that torque curve, I probably wouldn't be on this forum. I have no regrets, obviously, but a turbo would turn what's already a good car into a great one.

It is not just power they lack. Their brakes are terrible and they have a lot of road noise in the cabin.
Damn shame Pontiac was shutdown, the Solstice was far better than the current BRZ/FRS. |

I'm skinny enough for the seats, but my shoulders are definitively too wide for the shoulder bolsters, and when I sit where I like, which is far less gangster-leaned than most people, my seat back almost touches the front of the rear seats, making it a two-seater. they're not exactly 'Murica scale.

This would be very nice canyon carver for those who live near mountain roads (SoCal) and short tracks like Streets of Willow.
