A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

Hehe, I saw this thread title then I grabbed my and dove in. Then I went through 3 pages without anyone seriously busting your nuts!
I like your car. I think the pic of the fuel filler may have been overkill on the photo-documentation though |

Wish Ford would make the rear more appealing like the Boss 429s or Mach 1(longer w/ lip spoiler). Then I would def. be interested...

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you but this thread went unexpectedly bananas.
At any rate here we go: Technology so new...it is from the 80's That would be GM car by the way 1987 to be exact. Touch screen is nothing new, satellite nav isn't either. Yeah I do love me some brand new technology from the early 1900's. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overhead_camshaft Among the early pioneers of DOHC were Isotta Fraschini's Giustino Cattaneo, Austro-Daimler's Ferdinand Porsche Stephen Tomczak (in the Prinz Heinrich), and W. O. Bentley (in 1919); Sunbeam built small numbers between 1921 and 1923.[2] The first DOHC engines were two- or four-valve per cylinder designs from companies like Fiat (1912), Peugeot Grand Prix (1913, 4 valve), Alfa Romeo GP (1914, 4 valve) and 6C (1925), Maserati Tipo 26 (1926), Bugatti Type 51 (1931), and Audi[clarification needed]. Most Ferraris used two-valve DOHC engines as well. Hell ford even built overhead cam motors back in the 60's...not that it did anything for efficiency but you knew that aleady. http://www.supermotors.net/articles/...sue01-a2-1.php Yep...here again..that is old news. Infact it is standard now on almost every car made the Mustand just finally caught up. Welcome to 1996 !!! Who knew all those goofy little sensors with all that wiring actually sent real time information back to the computer...(yep computer that had that too) so that the computer could determine if the car was running lean or rich or if the engine was knocking and would require timing adjustments. Nope that is brand new and Ford has the corner on the market. Did you just copy the features page from the Mustang website? It would be lacking mostly around this region. Also here... And when put together it still has a very hard time with these.. Other than that the car is fine, it would just be nice to see Ford some more original things with the Mustang and broaden it's horizons beyond straight line performance. Of which it actually sucks at unless you drop 50 grand on a GT500. Well this was fun, but I am done for now. The new Mustangs do look much better though. |

So thats it? the SRA is what you were talking about in technology? i hope you havent been ignoring all the praise the mustang is getting on its handling capabilities with its old SRA, and btw you realize pushrod engines are old too right? but if it works it works right? i dont see a problem with SRA neither do millions of people or the magazine reviews so where is your point?
