Hi everyone! Placed the order for the LPE 9.5" rearend today with 3.73's and CF shaft for it from DSS in the works

Still contemplating some other upgrades like GT9 cam and more boost.

Of those with ARH Longtubes - did anyone go with 2" primarys? I saw a 1 7/8 and a couple without size listed. Any reason not to go with 2"? Everything I read suggest them at 650 RWHP.

Here's a few pics from the latest car show with my trusty alarm system. Managed to pull off a "Top 10 overall award" at a show with really fierce competition and a nice looking plaque at a local show too.

I went with 2" runners with ARH longtubes. Gained about 6hp over 1 7/8 (or 1.1%) didn't lose anything down low
Compared to car before me same mods at same shop along with jannetty racing compare test showed same results

Congrats on the top 10 and the new rear end! I cant wait to hear about it after you take for a few test drives.

I have the GT9 cam and i really like the lope it puts out. I think it goes nice with blower. Also im running 12psi of boost with 1 7/8's ARH's. Im curious as well what the difference would be running a 2" over the 1 7/8's with bigger boost. I ordered mine almost 2 years ago and if i remember right they told me that a car making around 650 to the wheels and above should go with a 2". He explained why but i cant remember what he said. Guess im getting old :(

OOOOOoooooooo......more boost! Do it!
1 7/8's on mine, to keep the boost up there.

Your car is looking great! Congrats on the win! Alarm looks like one of those new passive agressive ones. You let him ride in the car? I see lots of brushing in that ones future.

Ok I started a thread on the shop build in the Garage section. I will try to keep it updated as things move forward. It is going to take some time though. Don't tell the Mrs. I am trying to get done with my build before I start her remodeling.
I am thinking this project will let us try out a lot of stuff and learn before we jump into the house.

Congrats and welcome to the Brotherhood/Sisterhood! Great looking ride!
Be careful of the mod bug.... it's been a nasty season (everyone's coming down with it)

I'm wondering if 2" has any downsides too, shorties didn't loose much. But just seems to make sense it needs to breath better with more input/HP.

I'm liking the GT9 cam too.... a friend with a Eforce has it. Ditto on the tubes versus boost. Are you stock 3" rear pullys and 2.75 up front?

Did someone reccomend not going up to 2"? YES, Lottie rides in the back with the seat folded down and a comforter. She even knows she's allowed to stand on the 3000GT console.... but knows not to in the Camaro! Yes, grooming leaves a pile about 1/4 her size.... no shedding though. She's a little skiddish, so I take her everywhere to break her in. Car shows are great.

..... Hi 2010, did Darren find the garage floor supplies? Clear coating over the flakes with the smelly stuff is the best and longest lasting. Sounds like the house is coming along!

Came across this photo the other day and thought at least one member of the brotherhood would get a kick out of it.

Blue, i dont remember what size of pulley in the rear but 2.75 up front.

I was told the Black Pig ran a 9.9/9.8 with no nitrous at track day. It was their fastest to date WITHOUT nitrous. Also the heat index was above 110 degrees. Rodney from RPM was there with my car and couldn't get it out of the mid 11's with a car that normally runs 10's.
Im anxious to see LPE's monster run in Sept/Oct time frame and we may see some more records broken with these fith gens.
