I like the blade spoiler quite a bit but I think the outside edge pieces disrupt the flow of the rear fender lines too much (and those lines are a primary reason I love this car). The '69 style spoiler doesn't do that because it stops at the edge rather than wrapping.

I'll probably start with the RS style and hope that the aftermarket makes a 1st gen style spoiler that has the same bolt pattern as the RS spoiler.

Voted for the 69 spoiler, but of course it's not offered. I like the factory spoiler second best. So it's all good.

I have had a dovetail spoiler before, I want something different this time around. Going for the wing! If anything I will still have the standard RS spoiler and trunk lid because I have to buy all new anyways. Then if I get tired of the wing, I can just put the stock spoiler back on in a few minutes with the help of a buddy.

I think the Dovetail might be the way to go because it is functional. But the car just may be ugly as heck when looking at it from behind because it's going to have another RED light stuck in it, (as opposed to the light in the back window which actually looks okay). I really need to see the ones they are going to sell, but I think that extra red light jumping out at you RIGHT THERE will absolutely ruin the aesthetics of an otherwise beautiful rear end.

As far as the High Wing Spoiler goes...it's fugly...too Japanese looking!!! If it was half the height, maybe. But as it is, YUCK!!!

The standard SS spoiler looks pretty good though. Even the non spoiler look on these 2010's looks good as well.

One thought on the Dovetail...would it be illegal to install it without hooking up the light, and just blacking the heck out of it, (on a black Camaro anyway)?

It wouldn't surprise me if the aftermarket within a year of the car's release makes a spoiler like it that does not include the brake light. The aftermarket's been known for that kind of thing.

i really like the look of the dovetail, but i'm with ^^ in that i don't want another CHMSL in it. the no-spoiler look is nice, too, but i like the extra downforce added with the dovetail. the wing is a little much for me, but at least they made it look nice.

You know, there is something I have been thinking about. Is there a possiblity that the CHMSL on the dovetail could be a thin LED strip across the top of the top edge of the blade, instead of a red bar on the middle of the spoiler?

I can try to Photoshop up an example of what I mean if anyone wants to see what I mean.

EDIT: Added a very vague, quick picture of what I mean. Doesn't look all that great, but it gets the point across. Think Cadillac LED style strip, only thinner...

Its possible, though not likely. I find it more likely that they do something like that, but only a small center section and with a thicker stripe of leds.

get rid of the side fins, and make the spoiler 2/3rd's the height of the dovetail so it is just an extended version of the stock spoiler and that would be PERFECT
