Yeah even after Bill Heard Chevrolet got shut down Legacy took over they are still the same, screwing soldiers... They see that guaranteed paycheck and want it. It's pretty sad.

XclusiveEric has some good advice. I have been buying cars and trading them for over 38 years now. I have seen every kind of dealer/salesman trick out there. Do your homework, it will pay dividends when it comes time to deal.

I just traded my 2008 Pontiac Solstice in for a new Cyber Gray Camaro 1LT. I got $17,800 for my base Solstice plus $1000 Pontiac loyalty discount, plus GM supplier discount of $1070 on top. My Solstice was washed and waxed and looked really good and had 9300 miles on it. Myrtle Beach Chevrolet here in South Carolina had over a dozen new Camaros on the lot and the Cyber Gray 1LT had only arrived a few days prior to my visit. I searched dealer inventory and went in to see what I could get for my trade in. I had a work sheet with what my car was worth from KBB, Edmunds and NADA. All three said in excellent condition was around $16,000 or slightly more. But certified used that I knew the dealer could sell the Solstice for was $21,775. That is a big difference and I wanted $18,000 if I could stick to my guns and squeeze them. I was prepared to walk away if I had to and I even said that I had walked away in past dealings with other cars that I had owned until I got the best deal that I could get from another dealer. They wanted to make a deal and said we can make it happen. They even got me a 4.5% interest rate with GMAC.

There are dealers out there that want to deal. NEVER EVER pay sticker and don't even think of ever paying more than sticker. WALK AWAY! Tell them to SHOVE IT!

It amazes me especially seeing the SS camaro in Ontario going for 56k. This has to be an insult to our intelligence. As if we don't know they're jacking up the price for the better of themselves. Good for us noone bought it...

WOW!!! I hope this is all in the past. I just picked up a 2SS/RS loaded for $2,000 BELOW MSRP at Brown Chevy in Del Rio, TX and it seems the dealers in San Antonio would have done the same type of deal.

Really? I just emailed them, I would like to order one here in the near future. I am from Uvalde myself. Who did you deal with? Thanks.

Dealt directly with Raul Riva at Brown Chevy. Also, give Dan Hall a call at the chevy dealer in Castroville. He's a member of this forum and a really nice guy.

For a Good Deal in San Jose, CA I was able to buy our 2011 Camaro 2LT for $500 below Invoice and we ended up at 4.49% APR for 84 months due to no down payment nor trade in, I am very happy with our purchase.

ain't it something--just checked out ebay and some dealers in nashville--some of the used ones are higher than the 2011s.

I'm looking to order a new 2011 v6 318 hp ,2lt rs, anyone know of a decent dealer willing to export to Europe?

Ripp offs excluded, I've had some prior unfortunate experience and my first order ended up , ironicaly, in my own country, about 100 km from where I live.

Destination Bremenhaven Germany, to German company , so I can get Europen tuv there.
interntional contract , lc on delivery, no warranty required.

It's automatic, and it's brand new.

I already bought it, I just wanted to know if it was good deal.

You paid a little over MSRP. Not as bad as some of the price gouging dealers but not as good as some other dealers are giving. I paid $1,000 over MSRP.

Salesman was very honest and up front. Getting a test drive was hassle free.
However they informed me that they would not sell under MSRP. They also said that they sold 35 camaros last year, at or over MSRP. Also stated that they sold several SGM special editions for "well over MSRP"

When I said that there was no way I would pay over MSRP they let me walk without ever getting me inside the building. This is AFTER a test drive.
