You're probably well aware of all of these options, but I'd suggest getting values from KBB, Carmax, and Carvana, and any other similar options in your area. I've always found it helpful to have some offers in hand when you go to make the purchase/trade.

I would keep the ZL1 is my thinking but do what you think is best for you.

I have seen Texas Auto Value talked about a couple times on Facebook. It seems that they make pretty good cash offers and will fly to you to pick your car up if a deal is made. https://texasautovalue.com/

70k trade?!?! No way...

You need to find out wholesale auction pricing, and start there.

If you see a ZL1 for sale for $75k, that means they'll probably take $70k for it. Figure most places want at least a 10% return on the car, means they probably paid around $60k for it. Before spending money on reconditioning, maintenance, etc.

I'd say, if you got an offer between $60-63, take it if you really want to sell it...

Not gonna knock you if you do, but a BMW? Oooof. I know too many people with those cars and too many complaints. One brand I'd never buy (and I've had a few Audi's, a 911S, and a VW, so I'm not anti-German cars at all)

If you're set on trading then I guess it doesn't matter what anyone thinks about whether you should keep your car or not. That being said, the 6th Gen ZL1 is the highest performance Camaro ever made and we don't know yet if they will make another Camaro. Something to think about...

None of that has any value to the car for price wise. You might find an individual that likes it wants to pay cash but the rest of your buyers out there have book value and what they can get a loan for and none of that stuff means anything that way.

I had a really good experience with webuyanycar, in/out in about 25 minutes, check in hand and I thought the price for my 18 1LE was very fair. I didn't have to go in and play dealer games with a trade-in, quick/convenient/easy. Was it top dollar for an immaculate car, probable not.

Those zl1’s you’re seeing for 74-75k are overpriced. Every coupe 23 zl1 I’ve seen was 70-71. You’ll get offered between 64-65k based on what I’ve read here from others trading their new cars in.

I doubt you'll get a dime over $60K unless the dealer has a line of people they know they can sell the car to at a profit.

Remember, when trading in a car, the dealer has to take the chance the car will sit on the lot for 6 months while they eat the depreciation. Since new cars depreciate the most in the first 24 months, the trade if offer will be below fair market value and actually wholesale value, then minus the estimated depreciation for 6 months.
