R.I.P. Queen Elizabeth.
I thought our Queen's death after a magnificent 70 year reign was worthy of a mention. When she became Queen, I believe Harry Truman was your President! She has truly been a wonderful Monarch, She's been there for everyone, & will be very sadly missed. R.I.P.

English history, the history of the British Empire, the British Royal Family shaped world history. Queen Elizabeth was one of the rare monarchs who actually cared about her people and their role, good and bad, throughout the world. More than just a relic of the past, easy to criticize and condemn, the British royals and their popularity and image shouldn't be readily dismissed. Different world today for sure, and Queen Elizabeth was the last of her ilk. I'm afraid the British Royals will come up woefully short in carrying on as she did.
Anyway, the past is prologue and worth studying. May she rest in peace. Here's to her great-great Grandmother from some of her loyal subjects... |
