Going for 10s on March 7th!
Well, memphis is open finally and the weather is pretty good. Ill be going out to see if I can touch 10s with stock heads, stock bottom and no power adder. I ran 11.39 with a 3200 stall, and stock gears. Since then I added a 4000 converter (triple disk), 3.91s, underdrive pulley, and wont have the stock mufflers on this time around.
What do you guys think it may run? I ran this setup with the stock mufflers and without the underdrive pulley 1/8th mile and ran 7.0s. I since have fine tuned the shift points and am locking the converter halfway through 4th. |

When I ran my 11.20, my 1/8 was a 7.222. So if you're at 7.0, then it is doable. It will be real close. I hope you get it. What's your 60'?

Yeah, what was the 60' on the 11.39 pass? You really didn't add any (much) power so it's all going to be in the 60' and how hard it pulls in 4th. Either way I'm pulling for you!!

7.0's will get you a 10 assuming you can pull on the big end. This is my slip from 3 years ago:

I just dynoed the car after the pulley swap, picked up 10/10. My 60 on the 11.39 was only a 1.74. Trapped 121.42.
Now I lock the converter in 4th and it sixties in the 1.55 range. I lost no 1/8th mph with this converter. My previous 1/8th on the 11.39 pass was 7.35 at 98 |

When I went 7.0 1/8th the da was about +200-500. Last year when I went 11.39 it was +1100-1400 I believe. DA on the 7th should be 500 or below. Its still pretty cool here, temp should be in the 50's.

With good weather, good track prep and a good 60', I think you got it.
Good Luck!
