Front Spoiler ripped off. Was it attached correctly???

Hi guys.

My 2011 OEM GFX SS front spoiler came off. I hit a parking block slowly, backed away and it ripped right off.

Looking at it, there are places under it were it looks like rivets or screw were supposed to go, but they aren't drilled.

They are 8 indents with circles that look to pop out for screws to go through.

My question is, does it needs these attached?
Would it have come off it it was attached properly?

The dealership installed these.

Thanks for the help.

When I get hung up on a parking block I generally pull the whole front clip off! Did it twice on my old SS!

Sorry that sucks but to answer your question YES it should have been riveted on if I recall 6-8, plus the side brackets on each side of the buper to help secure it on. If you purchased it new from the dealership take it back they screwed up and did an half ASS job.

yup, i just found this:

http://www.vehicleaccessorycenter.co...%20-%20rev.pdf

page 15 clearly shows, the 8 plastic rivets that are supposed to go on the bottom.
AND, i looked at it again- the 2 adhesive panels with red tape on them still had the tape on them.

basically they did do HALF of it. they did the front clips, the bolts on the side, but no adhesive strips or fastening the bottom on. ugh.

If you really want it to stay, drill some holes and install a bolt, lock washer, plain washer and nut.... it'll stay then.
