Looks like the stock s/c just went up in resell value...

Ove in the FI forum there an SS that took a ZL1 s/c and a few other part and got it to work out. Made some good numbers. Im sure there will be plenty of SS guys that will want to follow suit and will be looking for a used ZL1 S/C. I believe I remember a vendor on site offering 2200-2500 for a swap on a Whipple. Selling to an SS guy might yield a bit more!

The LT1s have higher compression so they usually make a little more power on similar boost.

Don't forget the SS is tuned as the Zl1 is a stock tune.

What vendor? I'd be very tempted at that price point!

Extra compression in the SS engine will allow for more HP over the ZL1 at similar boost levels. As was already mentioned. Plus the tune gives it a bit more...as was mentioned also. However don't count out the fact that the ZL1 engine internals can handle much more than the SS. And our fuel system and the cooling makes it a much better platform. The SS simply was not built for boost like the ZL1 was. So while they may make more HP at similar boost, we can boost higher. And that extra compression at a certain point will become a drawback considering that at certain levels companies use lower compression pistons.
