There's no reason to believe that. It will be hard to find V8s on lots for a while though due to orders.

My dealership said the same thing. He found out a weekago, that GM may push back the SS anywhere from a month after the V6's hit the dealerships, up until a few months before the Convertible is do.

He (the dealer) said he really not sure about it though, and expects them to arrive within a week or 2 of each other, if not together. I thinks it would be dumb of GM to wait any longer, unless if there was some sort of issues in the cars that need to be worked put.

it sounds like the "dealer" is trying to artificially lower supply therefore drive pricing up. Is the dealer reputable? Camaro Scottyhas said nothing about availability issues on the V8.

They will probably be concentrating a little more on V8's than normal the first year. That way all the rush of enthusiasts can grab theirs asap.
But however it happens, the SS will be available as soon as the V6 is. |

That's good to know, also, if you get the ss with the rs package? what decal will stay on the car? the ss or rs?

Could you have been thinking about a high powered V8 ~500+ hp, something beyond the SS? If thats the case, then expect to wait at least a few months. If you are talking about the regular SS with 400-422 hp it should out at the same time as the LS/LT
