How is the shudder issue suppose to feel like?

I recently purchased a 17' SS and sometimes I would feel the shifts would feel very off. It would jerk back but it wasn't even at high speeds (around 50 MPH) Anyone else had the issue can explain how the shudder is suppose to be like?

The shudder generally happened for my Camaro under steady light throttle around 45 mph. It felt like riding over rumble strips.
The new flush this year seems to have fixed it, done over 4,000 miles ago.

You will know when and if you feel the shudder. It happens when cruising at a steady speed. Transmission shifts can be hard from time to time, it's a temperamental unit, but I love the A8.

Its not the trans, its the torque converter. A simple converter upgrade will make the A8 SS the car of your dreams.

My shudder was real bad in my 2017 RS. It would do the shuddering in 8th gear going anywhere from 45-55 MPH where it was the worst. Mine did it only once the fluid got hot. As described the shudder feels like you are going over rumble strips, the whole car shudders. it does the shuddering every 15 seconds or so. Mine also did something else- my transmission slipped- when in 8th gear the tach would go up and down a few hundred RPM every few seconds as well. It was unfortunately never resolved. I got tired of it, got rid of the car. I have a 2016 V6 with M/T now- love it so much. Wish I got manual to begin with.

I was wondering if the new juice fixed the problem. Good to know.

I have about 6000 miles on mine with the new flush and a new torque converter. So far so good, but in all honesty this trans doesn't feel 100% right in my opinion. Hard to explain, but for lack of a better word, it almost feels like it wants to maybe start to shudder a little but never does now. As long as it doesn't get any worse I'm totally fine with it

To me at first it felt like a spark plug but as it gets worse, it happens on level ground at highway speed.

I have been trying to convince myself that mine was somehow immune to the A8 shudder. I'm convinced I have it now after reading through all the post on this forum. After less than 9K kid-gloved miles it really is a disappointment. My biggest fear is that I will have to fight my dealer over the issue to get a resolution.

Feels like rumble strips. The best way to explain it. Like little bumps in the road that are not there.
