Will GM offer a Performance Driving course for the ZL1?

I know BMW offers Performace Driving School Delivery for the M3 -which is a puppy compared to the ZL1. Will GM do something similar? I would be very interested to learn how the "monster" handles on a closed circuit, before I take it out on the street. It will also be a great marketing tool for GM - especially in light of the delays that affect the people that have the cars ordered 5 months ago already built. It will certainly be a blast for ZL1 owners. It will also prevent/lower ZL1 encounters with ditches/trees, guardrails, etc which will probably affect the brand image.
Just a thought. Thank you

I don't know, but schools like Bondurant have classes with the Camaro SS, I wouldnt be surprised if they eventually offered a ZL1 course.

I think it should be a requirement to own one.

Bondurant, Spring Mountain and (likely) Mosport should have 'em...

Dodge has it if you purchase ANY SRT8 vehicle...it's built into the price of the car...about $500 which isn't much considering what BB or MS charges.

This would really be icing on the cake however, they need to get the production rolling first.

The Corvette ZR1 includes a performance driving school with the purchase.

From Chevy's website:

Get schooled
Optimize your experience through driving style. Included in the price of your ZR1 is the opportunity to study at one of the two official Corvette Driving schools, which will you get the most enjoyment out of your ZR1. Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in suburban Phoenix or the Ron Fellows Performance Corvette Driving School at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch near Las Vegas12.

Considering how close the ZL1 times are to the Z06 and not too far away from the ZR1 track times, offering a driving school might be very prudent. Manufactures that offer a driving school with their cars just seems to make the car a little bit more 'classier'. I would take advantage of the school for sure.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bondurant driving school start using ZL1's for their advanced driving students.

I proposed this idea when the thread for the Camaro disciples was made a few weeks ago. I would love to take the ZL1 to the track with actual engineers there to show you what's up. Dragoneye is the only one that has been so lucky thus far, but the rest of us want some ZL1 tracktime with GM people present

A two day school is included with Corvette ZR1 purchase - and they offered three days for a period a year ago to promote sales. I have been twice and am going to Spring Mountain again in June - but there is no free lunch. It is easy to hide a $3K school in the price of a ZR1, but since the ZL1 is half the price and more price sensitive, I don't see it happening unless they raise the price. Anyone who loves driving performance cars and can afford it would never regret going to Spring Mountain.

As a side note on this topic, the instructors at Spring Mountain started driving Camaro's last year. I think this was both a cost savings by GM and to promote the Camaro. They spoke highly about them in public, but when I got a couple instructors to be candid in private, they said they handled like having two corvettes stacked on top of each other. I suspect that will change with the handling capabilities of the ZL1 (and incidentially, the instructors driving the Camaro could still beat any students driving even the ZR1, so it proves the driver is the most important part of the equation when it comes to racing)

Ford offers a 1 day school in Utah with the Boss 302 purchase. It also includes a reception and dinner the night before. It would be great if Chevy did something similar.
