Codes after new wheels

Codes after new wheels mounted
Good morning.

2010 SS and just replaced the wheels with a set of Race Stars.

Within 30 seconds of driving the car threw codes c0800 and c0245

Car has had zero issues since the new wheels. I put the old wheels back on and the codes did not come back.

Any idea what might be causing these from a wheel swap?

I put 17x10.5 tears and 17x4 on the front. No rubbing anywhere on the wheels. Calipers don’t rub on the wheel weights or anything. I did not have to do anything with the front brake pads either as the wheels fit on with no clearance issues.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

It's most likely tire size. They need to be within a certain percentage of the same for all 4. Are they different diameters?

Did anyone disconnect the battery was the battery very low at some point? The C0245 is related to wheel speed sensor. Are the fronts a lot smaller diameter than the rear? If so that will throw the Wheel speed sensors off and throw codes in the EBCM

Battery is at the voltage it should be when testing with a meter. It is not even a year old.

I can clear the codes, but they come right back.

The battery is less than a year old and wasn’t disconnected to my knowledge. I’m the only one that works on the car except for dyno runs.

The fronts are 17x4.

What size are the front tires?
Too much of a difference between diameter of tires front to rear will cause this.

How tall are the fronts though. If they are shorter than the rear your front wheels speed will be faster than your rear telling your EBCM something is wrong. More than about an inch difference is a problem.

I can’t recall the front tire size off the top of my head unfortunately. I want to say it’s 26.7/4/17 but that may be inaccurate.

Is there a way to re-calibrate the computer to accept the difference?

What size tire are you running on the front??? If it is more than 3% off from stock that can cause the car's computer to freak out as it is doing. Also if the difference between tire size front to back is too far off, that will also cause the car's computer to freak out as well. Since it's happy when you put the original ones back on it's pretty good bet your tires are the wrong size.

I may be out of the 5th gen world but still doing the same with my 6th gens, and I have extensively researched optional tire sizes since 2011.

the 305/45 rears are the same size as the stock tire(305/35/20) according to Carlyle Racing....like you are saying....it comes down to the front tire/ Plus or minus .5 from 27.9 and you should be good.

As others have indicated, if you change the overall diameter of the tires by too much (I believe somewhere around 1/2"), it will cause issues with traction control sensors.
