Man, I actually used to have a beetle, granted it had the 1.8T and a 5 speed, and no eye lashes lol.
I still got some flack for it, until I blew by most of the ricers back in the day. It was completely stock exhaust but I had a boost controller on it, so it was quicker than the average 1.8T powered VW. I actually loved that motor, it was great, and tough as nails. The only downside was top speed was 130mph, I ran out of revs in 5th gear haha.
