Hi - Potential New Owner Here - 1SS 1LE - Questions Inside
Hi -
I may try to take advantage of the 0% for 72mo financing tomorrow and buy a white 1SS 1LE (no recaro) tomorrow. I'm a former 2011 C6 3LT owner so I'm no stranger to the LSX world but I had a few questions. The car has no nav but has the display screen. I utilized the search feature last night while waiting for acct approval here and found that no - retrofitting NAV is not easy nor cost effective: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=366080 However, is it possible and how hard? 2) Anyone know all incentives / rebates / pricing? Here's what I'm looking at: - $38,xxx MSRP - Military Pricing $1700 - USAA $750 - $1200 GM Card - $1,000 rebate Anything else I might have missed? This car will serve light duty as a short distance commuter in Texas. So the lack of options doesn't concern me. I've got my trucks for the icy days but I still plan on getting winter all season tires. 3) What rims should I negotiate with the dealer to purchase for this function? Base model V6 rims ok? Enjoy the rest of your 4th holiday weekend. Thank you. -Ryan Ft Hood, Tx |

Can you get the Recaros? 2014s looks killer to me and wished I had waited for one. Don't drive it in winter so screw the wheel option. Salt is horrible.

As far as NAV goes I don't have and don't miss it. For now I just push OnStar and ask for directions and get turn by turn sent to the car no map but dont need it. Or I can look it up on the phone app and send it to the car. If I need a map I just use my smart phone.
I am not sure if the stock v6 rims will fit on our cars. |

First of all, thank you for your service and welcome to Camaro5. For the wheels the Heritage rims the come on some of the V6s will not work because they do not clear the brakes. Don't buy the rims from the dealer, buy a set of replicas from a performance vendor or if you want the real thing buy used from somebody on here in the classified section and save yourself some money. Just my .02
As far as the rest of the deal goes, it sounds like you have some pretty good incentives. Recaros for the track would've been added to mine but it wasn't available til 2014 and the back up camera is really nice to have especially on a DD car that is parked frequently. |

For winter rims, I went to my local camaro forum (ny5thgen.com here for the NY region) and picked up a set of mint OE SS 20" rims for $500 flat. You'll likely be able to find a similar deal locally.

Great price! With the money you saved you can get the seats anyways. Haha

So what were all the rebates, incentives that you got? What was your OTD? Did you have a trade in?

Quote:
-$1,057 GM Card -$750 USAA -$1700 military -$1000 rebate = $35,477 before taxes title & fees? I had a trade but those are so individualized that it's pointless to discuss. I think I did alright over all. |
