Question regarding gauge ceremony (speedo/tach) - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I seen a couple videos where when the Camaro is started the gauges do a ceremony much like the Corvette. Is this an option? Mod? or just a feature on certain models? Also could you get this for a model that does not have it? Either through mod or GM parts?

I bought a 14 Camaro 2SS with the 1LE package. My center console gauges do the ceremony but the speedo/tach do not.

I actually really like the ceremony, is there a way to enable it possibly?

Ceremony? Do you meant the sweep across the dial? All the Camaros before the 14's do it. Just a Guage check to show the Guages are working. I don't know why the 14's don't do it.

You mean when the gauges all sweep to the right then back to the left and settle? My two 5th gens did/do this automatically.

My '14 does this the same my previous two 5th Gens.

They stopped it in 2013 on the Camaro.. and no its not an option, just something GM decided to discontinue, not sure why...1st time i ever saw it was in a 04 or 05 Pontiac Grand Prix

My 2012 45th did the gauge sweep on startup.

Good question thou my 2012 did it but my 2013 DOES NOT....I would like to have all the gauges do the "CEREMONY" kinda cool.... i dont even think anyone has ever completed this MOD

Hmm I wonder why some do and some don't? I have seen a few posts about 14's that didn't do it.
I wonder if it has anything to do with Mylink or having a HUD..
And my 12 does it as my 10 did it.

13s do not ....4 pack gauges sweep, but the Tac, Speedo, Fuel and Temp do not
