Question Blind spots?

I'm just 6'1 tall, but I hear about some people complaining
on the blind spots & it can be hard to see out of when u are
in a Camaro. Is this true? Does it matter how short or tall
u are?

I'm 6'3 and the only blind spot I have is backing out of an angled parking spot.... you can't see if anyone is coming. But now with most of the cars having rear cameras, that will take care of that.

yes, there are tons of blind spots in this car. the windshield is small, and low profile. if you pull up to a light too close you won't be able to see it. you also can not look over your left shoulder to see out the back window. the view over your right shoulder isn't much better. you also can not see the front left corner of the car. have to be real careful pulling alongside things. and of course, there is the almost non existent rear view.

with that being said, you can get used to them, and you minimize the effect by adjusting your mirrors, but they're still there. take a test drive and you'll be blow away at how hard it is to see out this car.

I don't think height has anything to do with it. I'm 7' tall and out of all of the people who have Camaros that I've talked to, nothing new about blind spot comments from what I experience. Backing up can be difficult until you learn where your bumper is, and looking over your shoulder to check your sides before merging can be really tricky.

Blind spots? What blind spots? Adjust your mirrors correctly and you won't have any.

Blind spot in a Camaro? Of course there are. Every car has them at the A and C pillars unless you have a convertible.

I drove a Brownie for UPS. Think about the blind spots on one of them.

They taught me to adjust my mirrors properly.

A lot of people make this mountain out of the Camaro's blind spot molehill. Just adjust the side mirrors correctly. Driver's Ed teaches you how to pass a driving test, not how to actually drive. There's plenty of youtube videos for this

I loved my Sol GXP for four years, and then I traded for my 1SS.

I simply stopped looking at the rearview mirror when the roof was up. It's like looking down a pipe! Even top down it's like looking into a submarine's periscope.

I never backed up into anything in 54K miles of 8 month daily driving. Good side mirrors

I had two Skys and put over a combined 60,000 miles on them in 4 years, but I will have to say 90% was driven top down. I never had an issue, it makes you pay close attention to your surroundings. It also made getting used to the Camaro's blind spots a breeze.

just make sure you have low deductibles on your insurance for when you get fender benders and get a color thats easy to match when you repaint! lol.
i have a vert. yes, blind spots, but i have gotten used to it, and you cant beat the backup camera, is a must in any camaro, especially the vert. also, when i get tired of struggling with blind spots, i put top down and its easy to see then! but, it just takes getting used to, it will be fine.
