installing headers

Could anyone tell me what O2 sensors are a must the first ones that connect to the actually header are a bit short and what they gave as extensions are not for the cable of its a extender for the header part

I dont understand the end of your sentence. The extensions I believe are for the front ones. And you need all four, or at least something to plug the holes, then a tune.

The extensions they gave me screw into the headers so to make it a bit taller to put the O2 sensor in

What headers are you installing? Most long tube headers sold for the Camaro should come with a set of o2 extensions (a direct cable that will plug into the factory o2 harness). The most important pair are the front o2 sensors. They take all the air fuel measurements and the rear o2 sensors are basically there to ensure you are running cats. You can plug off the rear o2 sensors as long as you tune them out....otherwise you will have a constant cel.

Call Tsp and they will sell you the extensions and get them to you in 1 or 2 days.

It's the front ones that have to be extended and most of the time they come with the extensions.

He's talking about the extenders that back your sensor out of the stream a bit to try and fool it.

Hmm. I would go with the extensions that extend the wiring harness for the front ones instead of that. Most headers come with them.

Who's headers do you have? I've never heard of a LT that comes with defouler extensions for the rear O2's. The rest of the advice given here is dead on.

Those are for the rears. You don't want to mess with the front sensors. Those are the ones telling your PCM how to fuel your car.
