2013 Camaro Bowtie on trunk- alignment holes?
Hi,
Sorry if repetitive, does the 2013 Camaro bow tie on the trunk adhere with 3m tape, with no alignment holes left behind if I remove it? I read 2010 had alignement holes but 2012 did not? Thinking of putting white SS emblems instead...any suggestions on part numbers for those is appreciated, ideally those with 3m tape or the like- for ease of install. (SLP continued there product for this use) thanks! |

The 2013 Camaros should not have any holes. My 2015 didn't have any either. It is held on by 3M double back only. If you plan on putting some kind of other badge in its place... I would suggest using masking tape along the outside edge of the existing bow-tie before you remove it. It will make centering your "SS" badge easier.
Hair dryer/Heat gun. 10-12lbs fishing line or dental floss, mine was off in 30 seconds. Goo-gone also made removing the remaining adhesive a breeze. I finished off with rubbing alcohol. |

Great news! Going to try and replace with 1969 type white SS emblems. Anyone know of any with 3m tape and no prongs on back? Thanks!

I picked mine up from SLP a few years ago but I haven't seen them on their site for a while.

OER # 3981921 this is for the front. $24.97 OER # 8701110 this one for the back. $33.97 You might think they are a little pricey. I do believe they have the prongs on it. I ground mine off and put the 3M double sided tape on. Just clean the area up real good heat up with hair dryer and put on.

No holes. Just remove the OEM ones, clean the surface well with alcohol, and stick on the new ones.
Emblem Pros carries the retro SS badges in any color you wish. That's where I got mine.

No it comes with prongs A back plate that slips over the prongs and jagged hex head screw on. The rear one I cut the prongs off & put on with 3-M
