How serious is GM about Performance ??

If GM/Chevy was truly serious about Performance for the 2016 Camaro they should have installed the Limited Slip Differentials across the entire Camaro lineup ....... Autos i'm referring to, with some gearing options, 3.00/3.15/3.23 etc ... The 2016 Camaro SS seems to be impressive no doubt ....not everyone wants to drive a stick and who wants a sporty car with an open rear ....just my.02 cents .....

And then the price would have risen another $500 and people would be complaining that much more. There has to be a line drawn in the sand somewhere. 99% of the auto LT car will not see performance driving. They will go to people who will commute or put big wheels on them or just never drive them hard. There is always another thing that could have been added. But at what cost?

Sorry the way I read it seemed like you meant only the manual ss had limited slip

Ford offers the Limited Slip for manuals and autos in the Mustang, across the entire Mustang lineup, why didn't Chevy ??? and for the sharp increase in the 2016 Camaro price a Limited Slip should have at least been an option for those that wanted it ....

that was just an example, plus getting back to cost, I think ford only charges like $300 for a 3.55 LSD for any Mustang Auto or manual ...

And where has it helped them? The EB PP lost to a FWD GTI. Perhaps if they had spent the money from LSDs on suspension/chassis design things would be different.

Don't get me wrong, the 8L45s not getting LSD is definitely a let down.

I just think GM/Chevy should have offered a Limited Slip for every model Camaro Auto LT not just Auto SS variety or just the manual cars ....

I think GM takes performance seriously by assuming their customers will as well by purchasing the SS instead of the 2.0T and V6 model.

I don't think anyone really disagrees, just some understand that was probably one of the things on the chopping board due to price constraints and typical buyer selections.

Well then you could say why is Ford not offering an Auto in the GT350, at some point they try to anticipate what the masses want and the cost to give it to them.
