I hate to say it, but yes. This is one of the worst places to get a deep crease and looks like it was hit way too hard to be fixed by paintless dent repair. This will be a very tricky one and probably not cheap if you want it looking like new.
People suck. |

I have a similar ding on my driver door exactly on the body line...I tried to do the paint dent removal but since it's in the body line the guys told me it won't look new, after I went to a shop and they were charging between 250-350 depending on the shop. Sorry man I feel your pain though

I'll tell you this, if you don't get it fixed, it will be noticeable.
Sucks though. Garage all the way if you can. |

That is the rear. Last time someone bent metal back there they cut huge sections of sheet metal out of his car and kept it for months. A crease over a crease, especially that close to the edge of the metal, is under a fold and cannot be pushed out.
Probably better off just having them paint it and leave the impression. Anything else will be costly and never disappear. |

If there are any businesses close to where you parked, there my have been a camera that filmed the accident.

A crease through a body line can not just be pulled, the metal has stretched. That's going to take some body work. It can be fixed, and should 100% be able to be done with out cutting, as long as you're ok with some bondo. Our guys do it all the time.
