Question about car locking up on initial roll

Hey guys,
When I put the car in reverse after sitting a couple days and remove the park brake I notice some hesitation before the car wants to "break free" and start to roll. It makes a small lurch when it does almost like the brakes aren't disengaging....any ideas or similar experiences?

I notice it too. I think the heat in the pads and rotors after stopping then engaging the E brake makes the pads seat on the rotor and after the spring is released the pads are kind of stuck on the rotor. I can feel it in the clutch pedal, it takes just a slight movement of the car for the pads to release. My Caddy does the same thing if it sits too long.

It only happens to me after washing the car and then letting it sit for a few days.

Most vehicles will do this, especially if the E-brake is on causing tension.

Think of it this way, let's say you're sitting in a recliner for a few hours. Then you get up and your bones start to crackle and pop.

It's actually fairly normal.
