TruTrac Gear Oil
What brand is everyone using?
"Eaton recommends a petroleum/mineral based GL-5 80W90 gear oil for all Truetrac Differentials. Do not use Synthetic gear oil or friction modifiers"

The few people i know with the tru-trac just use the parts store non synthetic. I love my amsoil but they are only synthetic. When i go the swap, itl probably be top tear non synthetic by mobil.

Nothing special is needed with an Eaton Truetrac carrier. Being a helical LSD it doesn't have the friction modifier requirement a clutch style of LSD does so any good GL-5 lube will work fine. No need to use synthetic as a good petroleum 80W-90 will work perfectly. I personally use Valvoline or NAPA (same), nothing special is required.

I use Lucas or Valvoline, whatever's available on the shelf at the parts store that day.
