So excited! Car coming in less than 12 hours!!!

Just got home from work (around 1AM) and don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight. Can't believe I actually got a 2SS! The insurance was only slightly higher than my 2014 1LT which shocked me. Will be interesting to have both cars for a bit.

My lease on the 14 is through the end of January, but will likely hand it over after the inspection and ready to roll in the new Camaro. Guess I'll read through the manual some more lol. Found out it would be shipping earlier today (Wednesday) and thought maybe Friday if I'm lucky.

Will be posting pics and experience hopefully tomorrow. I was able to find coverage for the first half of my shift at work just in case as well as to give me some time rather than rushing the car in the garage and heading right to work.

This post may be a bit premature since it's not an actual "I got my car thread". Just wanted to share my excitement. Been planning this since seeing the Hyper Blue with Ceramic White interior at the find new roads tour in Philadelphia and it's about to happen.

One thing I will say... and will add to when I get the car in less than 12 hours is... thank you Becky. Everything you've done is much appreciated. It's been a while since I've had my dream car and this is one of those cars. Can't thank you enough.

Perfect timing for my long weekend off. Will likely be detailing and trying to figure out all of the electronics and modes. I'm glad I'll have both cars for a bit. Definitely was thinking I was another week out from getting my car.

Haven't told anyone yet. Will be awesome to see my family's reaction when they get home from work and see the new car! Told my parents it was going to be shipped, but they're still thinking next week some time. Just sharing my excitement. Most definitely more to come!

Congrats! Welcome to the party! I had a 2014 1LT also and I was surprised when my insurance only went up by a few dollars a month also.

Well maybe it's because of our stellar driving records and the fact that we have all kinds of safety features, rear camera and blind spot help the discounts

Thanks guys. Just woke back up with the same glass of wine in hand, phone on floor, feel like I slept for about 10 hours haha. At least the wine didn't spill.

The first thing I stated when calling Geico was how unhappy I was with the current rate for the 14 and not looking forward to adding this car. It's actually not much more with both cars, but separately the SS will be about the same.

They literally cut my rate in half from State Farm back at least 3 years ago. Of course State Farm didn't believe that the coverage was the same. After that though, I've been getting older (eh), no points, yet goes up every 6 months. Started off telling them I'd be insurance shopping in a few months.

May get another quote later on anyway. It can't hurt. I qualify for NJM and, because of what I do, Liberty Mutual offers a discounted rate. NJM would be the cheapest, but their paperwork was so extreme I just stayed with Geico.

We'll see where that goes, but back to the car... so excited. I had an early 2010 Camaro that I wish I would have just kept so looking forward to having an early car again before things start changing. I'll have the original lol. In all seriousness today will be an amazing day.

Insurance rates are always based on demographics and statistics...

Our rates on Camaro's are lower because there aren't a bunch of 19 year old kids wrapping them around poles.... yet...

Now that the younger crowd is gaining access to the Gen5's.. this is probably going to start to change.

When I bought my 2010 2SS and traded in my 2010 Jetta SportWagen, my insurance went DOWN. And I have a clean record, so nothing was dropping off..
