Bottom of Front Bumper
Hi all:
Not sure where to post this, but bottomed out part of my front bumper on a curb that leaped out in front of me when parking. Now it has ugly scratch marks on Imperial blue paint. What is my best option? Can a body shop fix it with a fiberglass fill, i.e., "Bondo" sand and paint it ? What do you think it would cost? Other options? Thanks folks. |

It's hard to say without pics but imo, if you can't see it while standing in front of it, leave it alone.
If you can see it, how deep are the scratches? If they aren't deep and it just got the paint, just get it repainted. If they are deep and it gouged the plastic the cheapest solution is probably buy a new front fascia and get it painted. Fiberglass fill is designed for holes and cracks and is normally done on the back side where it won't be seen, not gouges, and bondo won't adhere to plastic for long so it will just have to be redone in a year or two. |
