The different numbers in the truck are due to a different intake manifold (longer runners for more lowend torque), lower max rpm and different cams(as you all have mentioned), as well most likely a more restrictive exhaust (their backpressure targets will be lower in the cars).
Have you guys put any thought into the L76 6.0L going into the Camaro instead of the LS2/LS3? The L76 is the engine in all the Holdens, and the new G8. I think the hp rating is around 390hp.
Could this be the Z28 motor since they are planning on competing with a 300hp Mustang and a 400+hp (but very heavy) Challenger?
Then the SS motor would be either a blown L76 or a detuned version of the blown LS? Corvette?
