Definitely the M6 and definitely in a short throw... when I was driving the GTO last week the one thing I really didn't like was the stick shift. It felt really sloppy and the throws were really long. I know that you can get a shift kit to fix it, but we really shouldn't have to. I was a solid M6 transmission with short firm throws!
