300 hp isn't going to cut it anymore....Ford will be doing a redesign after the the Camaro and Challenger hit the markets(2010 is the estimate). Even the Infiniti G35 has a 306 hp V6(sedan for now, but coupe is coming).
GM having a 300 hp, then Ford exceeding it a year later will not work. GM "will probably" be using a bigger engine 5.3L+, so make use of the displacement. Just a simple "LS2" with 400hp will cut it for me....even if it's old tech(I know this engine will be gone by then according to several posts in this forum). At that point Chevy would lead both Ford and Dodge(and Infiniti
) in hp.
But like you mentioned above.......no "real" news, so it's all guessing now.
