Sir, I say fly in and drive it back. That'll give you the chance to gauge first impressions (ie MPG, comfort, features, etc). 900 miles is a good range for that. I did a 700 mile Vegas trip a few weeks after I got mine. That was the time I really got to experience it outside of day to day driving. Good luck, congrats, and enjoy!
