If that is the case, then I certainly wouldn't gave given that dealer my $1000 in an interest-free loan. I refuse to pay over MSRP for any car. Like TAG and KILLER said, you can find a dealer that values you as a customer more than a short term monetary gain. Not only will most people continue to buy their 7+ cars in a lifetime with that dealer, but they will recommend others to that dealer if they are treated right. Paying $2,500 over msrp is not being treated right. At the absolute most, you should have agreed to paying MSRP in addition to the $1000 (basically paying $1000 for the right to purchase one fo the first ones).
However, it is not my money.
