If it's a camshaft, wouldn't it be an oiling issue or maybe a problem with manufacturing??? And if so, then wouldn't it make sense to replace the motor vs hoping that it won't happen again? Isn't a "few weeks" quite a long time to fix it? We could build a whole house in that time.

I think this is a manufacturer problem. If it's new enough it's not your fault. You can ask the manufacturer to warranty it for you.
