Yep, saw that comparo and was damn glad of the outcome.
Personally, a Viper has never had any appeal for me. Haven't paid attention to real world testing on the GT500, just the published numbers. A lot of people seem to get hung up on those so I was throwing them out. In the real world? I would expect the C7 to be a helluva lot easier to drive than a Viper or the GT500. The latter needs a lot of help in getting all the ponies down to the ground and the last Viper I rode in felt like the suspension was missing - just solid links to every pothole on I-95 south of Baltimore...............
