Has this kind of thing happened in the past? Do ducks fly south when winter approaches? Will GM do anything about it? Certainly, several years from now and long after you have been held up with a gun pointed at your temple.
I imagine new car dealers must cringe when reports like this come to the surface. Have any GM dealers suffered consequences for playing their customers? Ask the remnants of Maxie Price (Atlanta, GA) or Grimaldi Buick (Pontiac, MI) but that does little to help you.
