Hell, here in CA, a while back they were looking for fugitive Christopher Dorner, described as a large, black male, driving a gray Nissan Titan... twitchy cops here opened fire into the back of a blue Toyota truck being driven by an Asian female, delivering newspapers with her elderly mother... over 100 bullets into the BACK of the truck, and some into the occupants. And, nearby, other cops unloaded bullets into another vehicle, some surfer just headed to the beach to find some tasty waves, dude (People around here started taping paper signs to their vehicles, and wearing shirts that read, "Don't shoot! I'm not him!").
If you can get shot up without even a slight resemblance to the wanted individuals, well, I'm pretty sure I'd be parking my yellow Camaro if I lived within 500 miles of the BOLO area. Even questioning my OWN safety at this time... half of a country away...
