Crankcase pressure pushed enough oil past the rings that the front cylinders hydrolocked and destroyed everything....not even the oil pan is salvagable.

Cannot stress enough how important it is to have the correct designed oil separating evacuation system, and not a band-aid "it's good enough" like we see far to often.
I tend to like your tech articles, but I highly double improper crankcase ventilation was the sole cause of the engine failing that catastrophically. There have to be other contributing factors.
