Does 4200 mean that it is shipped and on the way ???

4200 Shipped means the unit has been released to the transporter who has ten days to get it on a hauler and on the way to its destination. It takes dispatch about two days to find a hauler so there is normally a minimum of two days from 4200 to actually leaving Bowling Green. Corvettes do not go on trains, so once a unit leaves BG one can calculate how long to dealer, given the driver is limited to 600 miles a day, most dealers will not take Corvette deliveries on weekends and it looks like it takes about an hour to drop a unit and head toward the next dealer.
The hauler wants to have each truck leave with a full load but Chevy does not want deliveries held up waiting for that tenth or eleventh unit that would make a full load, this the reason for the ten day rule.
Exposed CFR will likely remain a problem. CF parts are hand made and each part is time consuming. Exposed parts need to come out of the mold perfect in appearance as only a clear coat covers them, no color coat to hide an appearance defect.
