Our rate at home is $0.14/kWH. We installed a level 2 charger, 48-amp, 11kwh. It's nice to be able to just plug in overnight when it needs charged up. Charger itself was a couple hundred bucks, plus about $100 in materials. We had plenty of room in our panel, and the main panel is right in front of the car, so it made for a very short wire run and easy install.
In Southern CA right now and I think the most we paid was $0.38/kwh at a Circle K in Cathedral City. Didn't want to mess with the goofs at Walmart and EA chargers.
