IMO, numbers "matter",
on paper. What I mean by that is, people want to see how the car they like/want compares to the competition.
In reality though, even though "your" car's numbers may be better than the competition, factors like driver ability, can affect how a car performs. It doesn't help if your cars 0-60 times are better if you don't know how to drive the car to get the maximum benefits.
So, I hope I didn't offend anyone, or create a huge debate.
Numbers are important, but there are also many other items to take into consideration to determine a cars performance, capability, and superiority.
Just remember, "
there's always someone faster than you out there." Enjoy whatever you own, and don't worry what they guy next to you drives and what his car can do.
