If your considering the Alfa 4c, consider the Giulia QV..Twin turbo Ferrari designed V6 with 503 hp. Also comes with a manual which the 4c only has tap shift.
The 4c was on my hit list before I bought my ZL1, but when I found out it was tap shift only that crossed it right off.
This guy does a great review subtitles in english. A must watch.

As far as reliability, a broken Alfa has been poorly, or improperly maintained. Maintained correctly they are as reliable as anything out there.
I have always owned at least one and never have suffered a breakdown in 30 years of drivng them. Especially with the older cars where this undeserved rep came from, you have to know how maintain them.
Are they a bit quirky yes but once you know what they need to stay happy you will a hard time finding a car more rewarding to drive. Treat it like a disposable toyota, your going to have issues.
