Hylton, for winter I run Michelin A/S 3 non-run-flats. They are great all-around tires, and would be the perfect compliment for freshly powder-coated wheels (see, we're keeping on-topic!), especially if you don't intend to track the car. I would even run them in an occasional low-speed autocross for fun, just not serious track events. They also grip better in the rain, and ride a bit better than run-flats. I was able to get them installed at my dealer for $1200 out the door. I will very likely stick with them once the factory tires wear out.
