Yes it is best to remove it to wrap around it some. You also have to trim the left stripe so it does not hit the speedo bezel. It is also helpful if you have a heat gun and a little experience applying graphics or window tint. It was determined by Becky & Maureen @ Rodgers that the deck lid piece is the closest match to the hood.
