@FastMatt, 2:37 not too shabby! It usually takes people a couple trips to COTA to really put it all together and run their best laps. I wanna say my first weekend there I did a 2:38. Now after a few times there, it's consistent 2:28's.
When I look at my videos, there's still a LOT of room for improvement. I just don't get near the seat time I'd like. My setup should have no trouble turning 2:24's. As Chad pointed out, all the little differences in each corner can add up quickly to significantly faster laps.

Scott, I wanted to call you to take you up on your COTA input but I just got busy and kept pushing it off. I should've hit ya up when we first exchanged PMs!
I can see lots of places I can improve on my 2:30. But as I said, the 10+ hours of Forza 7 was invaluable. And being in a familiar car was another big part of the puzzle. Coby Shield of 89X Motorsports gave me some tips that helped me knock another couple seconds. He once had an SS 1LE and still recommends that car for track days.
