Trust me... I love the 2650 product, and would absolutely go that route if my power goals were higher.
My journey started with only wanting a choppy idle, and more blower whine... figured 700rwhp would be where I stopped with the stock fuel system. Also had a tight budget at the time.
Now at 770rwhp... I love the power level... 2nd gear only hooks 20% of the time... but 4th gear feels like it could use more power... So I will likely keep going.
Like I said earlier... not sure why, but I really like the idea of keeping the stock blower, and finding ways to maximize its performance. I do agree, it will suck to have the blower re-ported but it will still be 1/2 the price of a 2650.
Keep in mind, the my investment in the Katech port + upper pulley was only $1,450... So, If I end up with the Katech lowside... and send the blower to KONG for an X-PORT, I will still only be $3,350 +/- into the stock blower.
As for the silly question "who am I trying to impress"? The answer is no one. Not sure why, but I like the idea of wringing more power from the stock blower, and love the whine from the faster blower speeds. IAT's have not been an issue with the cooling mods I made, so i think I am good to spin the blower a little faster and will likely stop at 850rwhp +/-
This has been such a fun process, despite the few steps back, and I have really enjoyed sharing the experience with all of you
