Affordable rear setup

Looking into some rear drag wheels and tires. Suspension wise im stock except for BMR lowering springs, i believe the 1.2s. Im looking at the VMS 17 x 10 rears. I know it says ill need a spacer but it also says it may not work on a lowered car. Can anyone confirm that? also, what tires would I run? I dont need a full slick with my mods so im thinking the nitto radials. should i shoot to be as close to the overall tire size i have now? Im running 295/40/20 rears now i believe.
Should I just go real cheap and just throw some radials on my stock 20s i have in my basement? will that even help me? I spin way too much for how little I have done to my car but ive only ran it on an unprepped track and will be goiing to the same track again in April

** adding that im currently running the nitto Nt555 tires
