This is the reason.

As well, when you look under the car, the exhaust has been flattened in the diff area. It’s been proven to have no affect on performance. This flattening carries over to all Gen 6’s, even though it was done specifically for vert clearances.

The vert differential has heat exchanger, unlike the base SS’s.

I can’t speak to the back end getting squirrelly. I have a lot of respect for the power on tap, so I’m pretty careful.
