This is also when the computer does a better job of shifting than humans. I have had up/down on the shifter before and it is more convenient while while playing and cornering, if you are ok with one handed steering. Upshift is pulling back so you don’t accidentally launch and downshift by mistake. Better to have a failed launch than a failed transmission.
