They could be telling you the truth. Is your car running good now? What did they do to it? If your filter is getting oil on maf sensor then it could cause your running issues

Remove the belt and see if the noise goes away....

Remove the belt and see if the noise goes away. Spin all the pulleys with the belt off and see if you hear the noise

Zl1 running bad

I have a 2013 zl1 that's running pretty rough. It had a misfire on cyl 1. Removed plug and its oil fouled and some of the center electrode was broken. Replaced plug,now it idles a little better but...

I work for a Chevy dealer and I've had to do one on a 2013 with 1,000 miles on it. It was a pain but not too bad of a job. Warranty only pays like 6.8 hours if I remember correctly
