Scratched rim and sliced tire - chain tire shop - Advice
Hi Guys
A couple of thousand miles ago I got new 275's in the rear for my car. Continentals.... I got a nail in the tire and got a leak. I removed the wheel, took it to the tire shop, got it patched, and they returned it with a scratch in the paint, and the machine sliced the inner side of the tire (where it seats with the rim.) When I got home to get it installed, I saw all that crap they did, and plus the weights were glued on top of dirt and came off. I made a complaint with corporate already, how lucky will I be with this? Any advice to get the tire and rim replaced with this people? |
Kind of tough to want them to provide a new tire, repair a wheel etc after they did that the first time. Take it in to them and be cool and calm and show them the problem(s).

Update:
They clear coated the rim, that got rid of the scratch. They also installed a new Continental 275/35/20. I'm impressed they didn't even argue. Maybe the call to corporate did it. |
Sound like a good outcome and resolution. In the future Wheels America are the to go company in reconditioning and repairing your curbed or scratched rims/wheels
