M6 bogging issue
Is there anyway to fix the ZL1 bogging issue when trying to launch? I want to buy a 2018 ZL1 but am holding off until I can find out if there is anyway to fix this. Can it be tuned out with a custom tune or is there no solution?

GM doesn't want to admit a bog issue so the question had to be sugarcoated before they would answer here.

Yes, it can be tuned out.

I think also a ported intake can help. See Soler Performance here on the forums, they have a good one - so it seems.

My tuner could not solve it on my '16 SS. But my next Camaro will be an M6 so if it's fixed I'm in. |
I really don't see what the big deal is. I learned to adjust my clutch usage within 2 months of getting my M6 ZL1. I love having a real manual.
I guess that since I don't care about drag racing this car, this is no big deal to me. |
Same here. I see lots of posts about throttle lag and bogging but I have yet to notice any of that. Maybe because our two other cars are gutless?

Does this affect regular SS cars? I have not noticed it yet.

In first gear at low speed blips to the throttle do nothing. I have learned to live with it. May install a ported TB at some point. |

On my 6-spd, I was experiencing the ‘bog’ issue, unless I rolled into the throttle. Launch control allows you to dump the clutch, without the bog. |
